Many regular golfers will recognise Kev as one of the busy guys behind the counter in our Pro Shop. With others, he is on the “front Line” in organising fields, taking bookings, selling and servicing a range golf products etc, but do we really know a lot about him?

Girls into Golf (GIG) is now into its 11th year! GIG invites women of all ages – both passionate and curious about golf – to learn the game in a relaxed, female-friendly atmosphere under the close eye of Professional, Di Pavich.

Congratulations to the Queensland Men’s side who proved to be too strong again, winning the Men’s State of Origin Event with a NETT score of 558. The Victorian/Tasmanian women took out the Ladies State of Origin Event. Congratulations to both teams!

We would like to take this opportunity to announce Veolia as the main sponsor for Maroochy River Golf Juniors and the Queensland Golf Academy for 2021. As we enter our formal competition period for 2021, we are continually reminded of the necessity to adopt the recommended best practices to minimise risk to our players and visitors. In this regard please always remember to book in either with your phone or by the alternative manual method offered.

Starting in Early February, we are undertaking some alterations to the clubhouse, these will be extend and modify the Bar, remove the timber screen from the lounge area, replicate the front sliding doors, build a new Designated Outside Smoking Area.

As you will be aware the course renovations are scheduled for 7th – 9th February. The plan for this renovation is to be a little less disruptive by a solid tine on the fairways. The tees will be scarified, cored and rubbed as usual to help level out and promote the healthy growth in the newly mowed tee surrounds.

The Maroochy River Mini Golf League is starting up. It will be heaps of fun for all families, friends and businesses. All ages welcome. Held over 10 weeks with a break over Easter, before concluding with a 3 week finals series finishing on 20 May 2021 with the Grand Final.

The Maroochy River Golf Club would like to advise you that while you have all enjoyed the one stop ordering for F&B at the Bar for the last 12 months, we have now reverted back to the old system.
