This past week saw many of our club juniors compete in the biggest event of the year on the tournament calendar – the Greg Norman Junior Masters – which was staged at Palmer Gold Coast (Robina Woods).
MRGC was strongly represented in the invitation only field, with the following members making the trip down to the Gold Coast.

By all accounts everyone played extremely well on a very challenging layout, doing themselves and the club proud against competitors from across QLD and around the country.
Ellandi, Lizzy, Ruby, Ionna and Lilly all made the 54 hole cut into the final day, all in the U13 age division. Ellandi went on to finish in 2nd place, with Ionna 3rd, Ruby 4th, Lilly 8th and Lizzy 12th – a dominant performance from our girls! Special mention goes to Ellandi for 4 great rounds and just one bad hole on the 18th that saw her pipped at the post. A truly fantastic effort from Miss Findlay!!
These exceptional results are a credit to the work of the Junior Development Committee – now headed by Andrew Darr. A big thanks to Andrew and his team.
And lastly of course a special thank you to the parents (and grandparents!) who do all the work behind the scenes to support our juniors by not only getting them to and from the club week in and week out for practice, but also to events such as these where they can demonstrate their skills on the big stage.
We look forward to seeing what this wonderful crop of juniors can achieve in the years to come!
