Juniors
At Maroochy River Golf Club, junior golfers are supported to learn, grow and enjoy the game in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
From first swings through to competitive play, our programs are designed to build confidence, develop skills and create a lifelong connection to golf.
With a strong focus on fun, development and sportsmanship, juniors can progress at their own pace while making friendships and enjoying everything the game has to offer.
Junior Clinics
Our Junior Golf Clinics are the perfect introduction to the game, designed for children of all skill levels, including beginners as young as four.
Led in a fun and supportive environment, sessions focus on building confidence, developing fundamental golf skills, and learning the basics of etiquette, all while making friends and enjoying the experience.
Clinics are held most Saturdays, with additional school holiday programs focused on on course play, skill development and fun.
All programs are delivered by qualified coaches in a safe and supportive environment.
Junior Pathway
Our junior coaching program follows a structured pathway designed to support players as they build their skills and confidence
- White Cap – Introduction to golf and beginner fundamentals
- Chrome Cap – Developing core skills and confidence
- Orange Cap – Improving consistency and technique
- Black Cap – Advanced players preparing for competition
Beginner Clinics (Ages 6+)
Perfect for kids new to golf, focusing on fun, fundamentals and confidence.
Junior Development
Ideal for juniors building on their skills, focusing on consistency, confidence and game development.
Advanced & Squad Training
Designed for experienced juniors looking to refine their skills and take their game to the next level, including squad and high performance pathways.
All sessions are listed on the Golf Australia MyGolf platform. You will be prompted to create a free account when registering for a program.

Cadetship
Our Cadet Membership is the perfect next step for juniors ready to spend more time on the course and continue developing their game.
Open to golfers aged 12 and under, Cadet Membership is just $65 per year and includes:
• Access to the golf course and club facilities (subject to availability)
• Range balls at junior pricing
• Discounts on clinic and coaching programs
Cadets can progress to Junior Membership, where they can obtain an official Golf Australia handicap and begin competing in club events.
Competitions
Junior Members have the opportunity to compete in club competitions and represent Maroochy River in Junior Pennant events across the Sunshine Coast.
These competitions help build confidence, develop skills and create a strong sense of teamwork in a supportive and social environment.
