Rose Bowl Day
Our Rose Bowl Day was well supported with 144 players participating, including 7 Brisbane & District clubs represented. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Debbie Constable, Sales Manager of Nutrimetics, plus a very successful raffle, the end result was a profit of over $2,000 to the Club.
Women’s Stroke Index
Minor Changes have been made to the Women’s Stroke Index, (Holes 2 & 4) have been swapped. This is part of the regular review to ensure the index reflects the actual playing difficulty as demonstrated by our players in the data produced by MiScore. Not a problem as the MiScore App and the Cards on registration in the Pro Shop, will have been adjusted accordingly.
R & A Women in Golf Charter
The Maroochy River Golf Club has become an R & A Women in Golf Charter Signatory which means that our Club has made a commitment with Golf Australia to improve the sport for women and girls.
Lady Members’ Cup
The weather was disappointing over the past few days which left our course in a reasonable state, however, not quite dry enough to allow carts on the course. This meant that a number of women were unable to play. It was also the Qualifying round for the Women’s Handicap Match Play Championship which commences later this week.
