30 May Warm Up Nets
The new Warm Up Nets are located at the end of the Cart Sheds, in close proximity to our 1st and 10th Tees. They feature the latest synthetic hitting mats (per our Driving Range) that provide more shock absorption than older style mats, and as such are designed to prevent wrist and elbow injuries. They also allow you to use your own tees/tee heights, as opposed to the old style rubber protruding tees that were only one height, tended to damage clubs, and also led to premature wear in one spot on the mats.
We recommend the same Blue (higher) & White (lower) Tees that are recommended for use on the Driving Range synthetic mats. These tees are available in bags from the Pro Shop.
If you are using the Warm Up nets at peak times, please be sensible. If other Members are waiting to use the nets, please give priority to those with earlier tee times. At any time that another Member is waiting, please limit yourself to 5 minutes or so.
We’ll monitor usage over the coming weeks, and if they are busy at peak times then we will consider signposting more detailed guidelines of fair usage.
