02 Mar An unprecedented rain event
This is an unprecedented rain event and an event like nothing we have seen before in our new location.
27.2.22 – Unfortunately, the roads on both sides of the golf club remain closed. The situation appears to be getting worse, the floodwaters are higher than yesterday. Staff were unable to get into Bli Bli from the Nambour side as strong floodwater were flowing across the road and into the Edgewater retirement village.
The forecast is improving and most of the rain system is now heading towards Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Hopefully the floodwater recedes quickly and we can get staff back into the club.
After another 280mm of rain from 11am Friday till 6am Saturday morning the course is unplayable. At this stage, the course will remain closed until at least Tuesday, once the water recedes, we are expecting to find a lot of silt and debris that will most likely take days to remove.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as required.
