09 Apr Maroochy River GC Juniors Shine
2024 has kicked off with a bang for the Maroochy River Juniors, with several of our young Juniors having secured their spots in prestigious golf tournaments! The State School Championships, the Greg Norman Junior Masters, and the Sunshine Coast Junior Masters are just a few of the arenas where our budding golfers will be showcasing their skills.
The State School Championship is set to take place at Oxley Golf Club from 12th to 15th May. We wish them all the very best of luck and can’t wait to see how they perform!
Junior Pennant begins on 14th April and this year we will have 3 teams – one in each division. We want to thank John for generously offering his time to assist the teams with training sessions being held in the lead-up to the first round. our goal is to build upon the success of last year when our Division 3 team brought home the Pennant Flag!
We had several Juniors travelling to attend various competitions. Maroochy River was successful in obtaining funding, for the second year in a row, for the Australian Golf Foundation Girls Scholarship Program. We are really excited to be able to offer this program again with the help of Di and the QGPC Team. Thank you to QGPC for supporting the program, we hope it’s a wonderful experience for all the girls.
