02 May Paul Malcolm Hole in One
Huge congratulations to member Paul Malcolm who shot his first ace on HOLE 8 during competition on Sunday 2nd April 2023. Playing from the Blue tee reading 186m on the range finder with a half club tail wind, Paul struck a solid 6 Iron straight in line with the pin which looked the goods and landed on the front edge of the green and after a couple if bounces it disappeared out of vision.
Playing partners called it “IN THE HOLE” however Paul wasn’t convinced thinking it most likely bounced on through the green.
Paul was in a cart for the day and was quick to get to the back of the green and after a brief futile search wandered up to the hole to enjoy his holy grail! As humble as you please, Paul simply pointed at the hole, smiled and said it’s in the hole! (See Pic). Congratulations on your first Hole in 1 Paul, many more to come mate!!
On a foot note, the next week Sat 8th April during Saturday Competition Paul hit it to under 2 foot this time into a 4-club wind hitting Hybrid!
