30 Nov Report from Women’s Captain
New Course Scratch Rating:
Recently, the Club made formal application to Golf Australia to review the Women’s Courses at Maroochy River. I’m pleased to inform you that upon receiving the results of the review of the Women’s Courses with the Statistical Information available, the Club has confirmed with Golf Australia, approval to implement the following adjustment as from 7th December:
The Women’s Red Course Scratch Rating has been dropped to 73. However, the Slope will remain at 127. As a result, all Daily handicaps will reduce by one stroke. This will not affect any other Tee courses.
Chick of the Walk Qualifier:
Thank you to our generous resident Professional, Sean Seymore, who again sponsored this event. In Sean’s absence, Andrew Johnstone (better known as “AJ”) stepped into the role as presenter. Well done to our winners of the 4BBB Stroke event and good luck to the clever players who qualified for the Match Play.
2021 Match Play Championships:
We were finally able to present the trophy to our Match Play Champion.
Congratulations and well done to the Divisional winners:
Division 2 Elaine Sandow, Runner-up Pam Baynes
Division 3 Coral Welke, Runner-up Dee Walker
Medal of Medals:
I’m pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Medal of Medals:
Invitation Day:
Again this year, we were fortunate to have Paul & Nicole Marshall from COASTAL PHYSIOTHERAPY sponsoring this event. In response to their generosity, don’t forget to support them by making an appointment for your choice of massage. There are many varieties. It will do wonders for your golf! Thanks also to our Chef, Jon Boon and Dave Osborne at the Bar and their staff for contributing to our successful day with their hospitality to our players after their game. We have had quite a number of positive responses from our visitors who welcomed the opportunity to play on our wonderful course. The event was a huge financial benefit to the Club through the raffle proceeds as well as the Food & Beverage.
Well done to the winners of the 4BBB Stableford, Pam Anderson (Maroochy River) and Allana Moore (Noosa) with 51pts.
