Well, what a great success the Two Day Carnival was, thanks to the organising skills of Ed and Merryl Berry and with the help of some volunteers, it turned into a memorable event. We had 236 players each day 150 of whom were visitors. They came from 32 different Golf Clubs North as far as Townsville South to Southport and West to Toowoomba and Murgon.

Well, we had a trip away to Cooroy 30 plus Maroochy River Vets had a top day on a very good golf course, one that had you thinking a little more about what shot you could or would play. A grade was won by our own Doug Conn (sorry Doug I invested the $50.00 on Penrith and we just missed out).
The Cooroy day was followed by a District Vets 4 A-Side Ambrose. Played at Nambour Golf Club, unfortunately, Maroochy River could not match Noosa with a 14 under off the stick and with the state of the greens they must have putted with Devine intervention.
