The final rounds of the 2022 Club Championship were held at the weekend in near perfect weather. Jared Whittal, who started Round 4 with a 10 shot lead, played steady golf all day posting a final round 69 (3 under) to take the title by 14 shots. After a 5 over 77 in round one where the conditions were far from good, Jared quickly took control of the event shooting 12 under for the last 3 rounds (77,69,66,69) for a total of 281. Runner up was Matt Gill on 295.
B Grade was a much tighter affair with Brett Williams, Steve Connors and Greg Mannion all finishing on 338. The 3 players went back to the first tee for a sudden death playoff. Greg was the first player out of contention after finding the water. Steve found the greenside bunker with his approach shot and Brett found the green. Steve was unable to get up and down from the bunker as Brett 2-putted to win the B Grade Championship.
In C Grade, Chris Gerrard took a 3 shot lead into the final round from Robbie Moule. Chris played a steady round of golf and won the C Grade Championship by 14 shots.
In the Junior event, Shae Coghlan won the Championship with a total of 329 with Rhys Cusack getting the Runner Up place on 342.
Justin Hagan (306) took out the Masters Title with a 2 shot victory over Derek Bergman (308).
