30 Dec New Terrace Deck is Open
With the terraced deck area opening and operating from Friday 24/12/21, it was great to see and hear of so many members utilising it. Mark Johnstone & clubhouse local “Bob Arthur” were the first to take advantage of it.
Badge have been able to complete the terraced deck area for use over the holiday period, albeit some minor cosmetic items that will not affect the operational use of the area. These minor items due to be completed in early 2022 include –
- Finishing off the electrical fit out for fans, heaters and blinds
- Completion of a small section of ceiling due to a shortage of material
- Completion of the timber like infill to the upright beams due to a shortage of material
The paths leading up to the deck area and the garden beds around the area will be completed early in the new year.
We acknowledge the work that past Board member’s including Michael Gray, who made the terraced deck the board’s priority; Max Garey for his input into the design and construction practices; and Carmel Smith for her support to ensure that the terraced deck area was prioritised for completion by the end of 2021. Thank you to members who have taken the time to email and text message lots of positive feedback about the deck area. It is fantastic to hear and read that members love it.
Ground staff are also preparing for the concrete paths and roundabout to the terraced deck area. They will then complete the gardens to compliment the terraced deck.
Come on in and to have a coffee / tea / breakfast / morning tea and be one of the first to test it out.
