Current restrictions are in place until 15 April 2021. A quick overview of what these restrictions mean for our club is as follows:
Maroochy River Golf Club is proud to announce a partnership with Ken Mills Toyota (KMT).
The club has decided to change our checking in method from the current ‘Guest HQ’ QR Code to the ‘Check In Qld’ app.
Starting in Early February, we are undertaking some alterations to the clubhouse, these will be extend and modify the Bar, remove the timber screen from the lounge area, replicate the front sliding doors, build a new Designated Outside Smoking Area.
Check in and Check out with our QR CovidSafe APP. Over the weekend, the Premier made an announcement that all businesses have 72 hours to move away from paper-based check-ins when collecting contact tracing information.
A Golf Australia report highlighting the nationwide boom in golf as a direct result of COVID-19 comes as no surprise to Sunshine Coast golf club managers. The report showed 42,000 Australians had joined golf clubs in the 10 months to the beginning of November – representing a 5 per cent annual increase in membership. Maroochy River general manager Charlie McGill saw the surge in membership coming even before the pandemic.
As we are now officially in summer and with our wildlife becoming more active and the heat more prominent, it is pertinent to provide members with some simple safety procedures.

The ever-fluid and uncertain environment in which the Club is currently operating within has changed yet again. As previously communicated last week, Golf Australia wrote to all Clubs recommending our golf courses close in line with the comments made by the Prime Minister on Sunday 29th March and the actions being adopted interstate. As of today, this is still Golf Australia’s recommendation.
