24 Jan Women’s Golfing Season
Happy New Year to you all! Our 2022 women’s golfing season commences with Opening Day on Tuesday, 1st February with an Individual Stableford and a Team Event held in conjunction.
The Women’s Country Week will be held this year in Far North Queensland at the Cairns Golf Club and the Half Moon Bay Golf Club at Yorkeys Knob on 10th, 11th and 12th May so those intending to play, you will need to book accommodation as soon as possible.
Although our Match Play Pennant Season commences in mid-May, our Pennant Co-ordinator, Tam Reid, has been busy organising our pennant teams. We are so fortunate to have Di Pavich at our Club. Di has offered to hold the Pennant Clinics again this year in late February. 9 hole Pennant Practice Rounds have been scheduled for March just to enhance your competitive skills, as well as a Pennant Information Night to refresh your knowledge of Pennant protocol that will come in handy during play. Thank you to all the women who agreed to play pennant this year. I have no doubt that you will enjoy the experience!
Apart from Match Play Pennant, the Sunshine Coast Burnett District Women’s Golf (District) has planned a Club of the Year Competition and the Race to the Coast Competition to be held throughout the year. More details on these events very soon.
