31 Jan Women’s State of Origin
On Sunday 29th January, the annual State of Origin was played with the women playing the front 9 this year.
It was battled out under fairly warm conditions with the ‘Rest of the World’ coming out triumphant with a score of 157 points. They were closely followed by Queensland on 152 points. Third place was NSW on 137 points and last place went to Victoria & Tasmania with 126 points.
Congratulations to the Rest of the World team which consisted of Sue Spellicy (Captain), Felicity Mullins, Jane Sneddon, Linda Bernard, Margaret Yardley, Hannah Jonsson, Nancy Chapman, Lyn Steffenson, Liz Montgomery, and in the front row, Di Lambert and Priscilla Rolfe. Missing for the photo were Jeanne Motteram and Christine West.
