It was with great concern we called and a wildlife volunteer came to attend to our one surviving cygnet when it was obvious he was really struggling.

These are things you might do which you don’t think are a concern but which actually mean you are breaking the rules.

It is a player’s responsibility to be conversant with the Rules of Golf or know where to readily find an answer to a query.  Nowadays it is extremely easy and can be done very quickly and without fuss. 

Last week we decided to arrange our monthly ladies’ luncheon at the Golf Club. The ladies had a wonderful time, some of them having tremendous fun playing mini golf and all enjoying lunch prepared by our talented team.

The Annual Women’s Rose Bowl event was a huge success last Friday with 152 players from 20 Clubs all over South East Queensland enjoying the challenges and rewards of our Club.

As we enter our formal competition period for 2021, we are continually reminded of the necessity to adopt the recommended best practices to minimise risk to our players and visitors. In this regard please always remember to book in either with your phone or by the alternative manual method offered.

There are lots of dates in what is shaping up as an extremely busy year & we would like to alert you to the major external ones in our area. It is planned to have the fixture book ready for you in early March when you can check all the internal ones as well.

The 2020 Women’s Invitation Day  was held last Friday , the 20th November with a capacity field of 152 players. The 4 BBB STABLEFORD event was won with a fine score of 51 points by Ngaire Kimball and her guest Lindy Owen from Noosa.

Congratulations Mary! In spite of ongoing restrictions and the Covid-safe environment, about 70 members , friends and former members joined with the Board of Maroochy River Golf Club to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Mary Haddon.
