Patrick Killen, our 2nd Year Apprentice Greenkeeper has had the time of his life at the recent LIV tournament. “It was an incredible experience to help prepare the course for the first LIV tournament hosted in Australia. Lyndal has been a member of Horton Park and Maroochy River since 1991. She originally started her golfing years on the sand greens of Cloncurry and later in Sydney at Kogarah (where she had a hole in one).

We’re having a chat with Georgie Weingarth, who in 1967-1972 was a Junior member of Southport and Burleigh Heads golf clubs then had a 42 year hiatus from golf until she joined 7 years ago.

Many regular golfers will recognise Kev as one of the busy guys behind the counter in our Pro Shop. With others, he is on the “front Line” in organising fields, taking bookings, selling and servicing a range golf products etc, but do we really know a lot about him?

Nikki is already very well known as the person who sits behind the Reception Desk as you enter the Clubhouse. Always ready with a welcoming smile, Nikki guides visitors to where they wish to be, answers incoming phone calls and directs them to all parts of the organisation. Amazingly, she still has time to assist members with their many, and varied needs as well as supporting management and requests from the Board.
