The Maroochy River Vets have just concluded the annual and successful Vets Cub Championship.

The 2020 Women’s Invitation Day  was held last Friday , the 20th November with a capacity field of 152 players. The 4 BBB STABLEFORD event was won with a fine score of 51 points by Ngaire Kimball and her guest Lindy Owen from Noosa.

Following the course renovations, we have spread 12 tone of custom blend fertiliser over the fairways, tees, surrounds and rough. A little rain and some warmer overnight temperature will see all these areas pickup and the turf surfaces at Maroochy River return to normal.

Many members have been asking questions in relation to COVID safe practices that we are still following at MRGC, such as no rakes in bunkers, no NTP’s and removal of the flagsticks. To assist members to understand why there has been no change to these procedures, I encourage you to read the official GA advice that we use to monitor our practices.

Nikki is already very well known as the person who sits behind the Reception Desk as you enter the Clubhouse. Always ready with a welcoming smile, Nikki guides visitors to where they wish to be, answers incoming phone calls and directs them to all parts of the organisation. Amazingly, she still has time to assist members with their many, and varied needs as well as supporting management and requests from the Board.
